Why are we like this?

I've been reading a lot of post about "unfun" decks. People being pushed out of play groups because they were the obviously dominant player.

Why is magic the only gaming community where the best players are shunned? Shouldn't we be celebrating their skills, and learning from them?

New players bringing them their brews and asking for advice? I don't get it, are we trying to be as toxic as league of legends?

Do we want just the worst decks and players in our groups? Why planeswalkers? Why are we like this?

Edit: I'm repeating this a lot so I'll put it here. My biggest issue is we have a group of players being alienated because of their decks alone. Not their attitudes, or personalities. But simply because there decks are good. And not just competitive decks. But even just their best brews. We shouldn't have any skill or play level feeling hated or unwelcome.

All these comments bashing or defending rule zero and those types of game play. Yet no one answered or had the conversation of how this gives them the right to be nasty, rude, or exclusive of other players because of the deck they use.

So conclusion it is an ego thing.
