Hallucinations!
Hey everyone, as I have previously mentioned (I’ll keep it short) my grandma has MSA she’s been diagnosed with the condition for 5 years from when she first started to show symptoms. My grandma has been mostly overweight towards her later 60s and since, her mobility has been limited, struggling to work, difficulty moving, turning on her side, it’s mostly been us mobilising her. Since she’s had tube feeding and before the surgery she’s lost a little bit of weight (not to the point where it’s worrying) and has really gained the mobility again, she’s been very mobile, moving her legs, eating again!!, and also literally turning over on her bed and moving herself from one bed to another to which we’ve been amazed with how much movement she’s had lately. The only thing is.. she’s been hallucinating and reminiscing on past events. We’ve spoken to a doctor and he’s saying it’s a serious infection and she’s showing signs of this through her hallucinations. As her body demonstrates infections in many different ways than normal. Has anyone else experienced this? She’s been talking about little girls in her room, needing to feed chickens (which she used to do back home in Colombia) needing to go shopping and everything. So I was just wondering whether anyone of you have had any experiences with hallucinations due to any underlying infections?
