Places in Munich where people just talk to one another?

Hey, I've just come back from one month in Iran and I am really feeling the post-travel blues. In Iran the people are amazingly friendly and genuinely kind. As long as the person spoke English (and sometimes even without that) you could just start a conversation with anyone and often people would invite you to hang out, drink tea or see the city. I know that the German mentality is not like that at all (I am Bavarian myself) but do you know places in Munich where strangers go to interact with one another? I know of course there are bars and hobbies and what not, but are there any places (preferably where you don't go to spend a lot of money) where you can just talk to people?
