I do music and stand-up comedy. Why are musicians so much more difficult to talk to than other comics?

I've been playing music with a band for around 7 years now and comedy a little over a year. Despite being in the music scene where I am for so long, I've made some of the best friends i've ever had in comedy. I've always struggled talking to other musicians and couldn't ever connect with them. A lot of musicians seem very egotistic and stuck up to me? They never seem to truly act like themselves in conversation. Comedians though, are professional talkers. You can ask them anything and they have a good answer for it and are fun to converse with. They're not necessarily even funny, they're just interesting people.

They've always asked me why I never really hangout with other musicians, and the truth is I don't know how to talk to them? Is that my fault? I can't tell when musicians are being shy or just trying to act too cool to talk to other bands. It really just sucks since I'd love to make more music friends that I can be myself around and vice versa. How did you guys make friends in music you feel completely comfortable with?
