Where Does Everyone Live?

I am a musician in europe and my music doesn't suit the general population or industry in the country I live in. I've been at it for a couple of years and to be honest I need to move on. Back in the day, it was always "New York" or "LA" and now I want to avoid America. So my question is where is everyone living? Is there anywhere that's ok to be a musician right now? Doing kind of alt-pop and alt-RnB?
