Account randomly unfrozen after 10+ years?!

I made an account in 2009 which was frozen and I was accused of purchasing neopoints, which made no sense as I only had 500K. I put in several tickets and tried to get into my account without success. I had premium at the time and they continued to charge me each month with no way to cancel because I could not get into my account. I eventually did a chargeback and did not play for ten years.

I started playing again on and off five years ago and have healed some of that trauma. I was looking for a recent Neopets email and came across an email I had missed stating that my account was unfrozen and the ticket said it was from 2010. I panicked for a second thinking my current account was frozen until I saw the date on the ticket. I tried to login with my old username and was able to change the password. Everything on the account looks like a frozen account: “closed” store, empty bank account, etc.

I’m not sure what to do with my old 15 year old account so I added it as a side account. Has this happened to anyone else?
