Can Maori and Pacifika people be racially abusive and belittling especially towards migrants and other non-white minorities in NZ?

I Lived in NZ for 12 years after migrating from India, I lived in Palmerston North for few years and moving to Hamilton and Auckland and lived in those cities for a while during 12 years of living in NZ. I honestly have to admit that while living in NZ, I had to go to schools where racial abuse, bullying were all normalized and there were neighbors near where I and my family lived were racially abusive, belittling and xenophobic etc. This was all a shock since NZ was told to be the safest country but sadly for certain groups of migrants and vulnerable people its not. Just because it may not happen to many people or may happen to many people it doesn't mean that people should dismiss, blame or justify it especially when perpetrators and instigators carry responsibilities for that.

While many racial abuse, bullying came from European white locals in urban cities of NZ, however as an Indian living in NZ for 12 years, I also had to constantly deal with racial abuse, bullying, toxic masculinity coming from individuals/groups belonging to maori/pasifika background and this was often very common for my friends and my families who were also living in NZ.

In schools, universities and after school programs along with exploring around NZ cities, I have encountered, experienced and dealt with so many individuals/groups from maori/pacifika background engaging in really bad racial abuse such as using slurs such as "curry-m**cher", "osama-lover", "osama-c*m" and so many anti-Asian comments.

I honestly find it hypocritical that when racism and bullying are being discussed, it is only about European white people being perpetrators which is true since they are majority and its proven to be very common but I also noticed the same level of racial hostility, racial stereotypes, bullying coming from individuals/groups from maori/pacifika background although I don't think most or all of them behave like this or be like this but find it very common and many of these individuals get away with it despite reporting and complaining.

Due to these long-term experiences, I was concerned whether Maori and Pacifika people be racist towards migrants and other non-white minorities in NZ while it is very common for white people (not most but many) to be racist.

Have any Indian migrants faced a similar issue regarding Maori/Pacifika people racially abusing and bullying you?

NOTE: I have no intention to target any group or any communities but to address problems in other sides to ensure that perspectives are heard and shared for solutions.
