Mental health

I posted the other day about how this was all planned and their version of a reality show. There’s some things I need to get off my chest and piggy back on.. I just watched a few minutes of GL live and this is what infuriated me ..

  1. I feel terrible for the people that GL has legitimately helped, who have gone onto dedicating more time and effort into helping others get sober. This could have been a great thing for GL, they could have shown the really positive outcomes of a sober living homes, bc lets be honest, there are so many different ways/resources to help with sobriety, sometimes traditional rehab facilities don’t work for everyone and that’s okay. Sometimes these houses are way better options, and in the end.. that’s all that really matters, is someone finding what they need to get there. P acting this way is causing so much destruction to the positive aspect of these places, especially to the stigma around being an addict/ mental illness. The people that run and manage the house could be saving people and are really trying, but instead of putting all their attention on helping others they have to deal and divert resources towards saving the image of GL bc they actually care and P keeps continuing to act out, he just will not stop. I feel genuinely terrible for them and the residents, people who struggle with addiction just have a tendency to feel more, they are more sensitive to the energy around them and their peers. You don’t think they can feel the tension and disruption of the staff ? I know for me this would lead to more anxiety? Also how do I respect someone showing me how to live respectful of others and take responsibility for myself if the guy who owns this place isn’t doing so? It maybe a tad easier for someone who is sober to disregard this but for someone who is actively trying to help themselves and looking to others to show them the way this can be more difficult to understand. Bad habits will be harder to break, trust will be more difficult to build.

  2. P openly admitting he’s faking a manic episode because it brings in views, people love to watch it, comparing it to “ Kanye west”. I don’t find this in the least bit funny, entertaining or respectful. Mental illness is slowly starting to become more accepted in today’s society, people are bringing such positive awareness to it. And this guy has the nerve to “ use” it as way to bring attention to his sober living house. You’re telling me he’s openly admitting to deliberately faking a disease so people will pay attention to him ? WTF? And people are good with it still. Sick dude, you’re a real class act P. Good for you, I want to say he’s a narcissist but I don’t think he is, I won’t even give him that credit to be diagnosed as that, he’s just straight up a spoiled brat, grew up a spoiled brat, never learned how to be anything else so stayed a spoiled brat, that’s why he called his dad the other night, bc that’s what brats do.. get their parents to fix it.

  3. They just discussed that they should have a reality show about sobriety “ the big brother of sobriety “ Lmao nailed it.

I’m sorry for such a long post I just needed to get that out there to people who may agree with me lol Thanks for reading !
