Ex gf blocked randomly blocked me after 8 months

My ex broke up with me abruptly about 8 months ago, I tried reaching out a couple times and the last time I did in March I was met with no reply, I then told myself that if we’re ever gonna talk again she’d have to reach out to me. She blocked me on instagram straight after the break up so I found comfort and the feeling of being connected to her but checking her WhatsApp last active status. I have had the urge to reach out but always decide against it, the other day I checked it during the day and everything was fine, I checked again later that night and her last active status disappeared. Fast forward to a few days later and it’s still not active meaning I’ve been blocked. What reason could there be for this? Im kinda upset cause I now feel like we have no channel of communication and I’m kinda confused on what to make of this. Any ideas on why she would randomly do that?
