Bored of working in IT

To cut a long story short, I've been working for a large IT company for several years, but over the last 6-12 months, I've become extremely dissatisfied with my job.

I primarily work from home (though I can work in the office if required), but no one goes into the office, so doing the commute to sit in a half empty office is pointless, and since everyone in my team works remotely, there isn't much of a social side to the job and I haven't formed any lasting friendships in years.

The actual work I do is extremely mundane (government contract) and not very rewarding. To be honest, I doubt anyone would really care/notice if I just sat there and did nothing. I have lost all enthusiasm for technology / IT, and I'm beginning to feel like a dinosaur in comparison to all of these incredibly eager graduates.

Over the last 18 months, the industry has seen massive change, with many IT companies trying to maximise profits by reducing headcount and costs. I think AI will only serve to drive cost-cutting measures further and I think in the next 10-15 years, jobs similar to mine will either entirely or partially be automated/assisted by AI systems.

Therefore I'm eager to leave the industry and pursue a more fulfilling career outside of IT. The problem is that having worked in IT for so long, I have no idea what else I could do. Is anyone else in a similar circumstance?
