debating on going back to school to be a nurse- advice
Hi. I (26F) have been thinking about this for a while, but haven’t really been able to decide. I currently am a chef and have been working in the food industry since I was 16. I love food and my current job so so much.
However, I sometimes think about a career change that could lead to just living a better life? Making more money, having health insurance etc would be very nice lol. I also have elderly parents that live in a different state that I’d like to be able to see more often, but taking time off of work is hard. I know that travel nursing is a thing so that could definitely be helpful. I am a fully time employee working 40hrs on average but only 4 days a week. I could absolutely make the time to go back to school part time. I am a college drop out, having only completed roughly 2/3 years of school. I could very easily transfer my credits to a community college or just go back to my university since they have already told me I can return without needing to reapply etc.
Any advice about the field/what to anticipate etc would be greatly appreciated! TIA!
