Why do common celebrity 'hexes' never seem to work?

I often see many people report 'hexing' political-figures, celebrities, and much more. You see that especially on social media, many online witches post -claiming to have hexed certain political commentators and running-presidents, with all the comments reaffirming they did the same. Yet despite the high amount of effort people put into hexing these celebrities, figures, and so on, none seem to succeed, almost as if some celebrities were untouched by the 'hexes. Why is that? I am personally not that trusting of hexes or curses but many people seem to report that it works and stuff so I am not that close to it.
