Had sex for the first time since I started opiates…it sucked.

I’ve been on 150 mme split between methadone and hydromorphone for about 2 years. I get them because I have a severe chronic pain disorder.

My illness got a lot worse for a while but I’m doing better now. I had sex with a close friend (not weird for us) and it SUCKED. I’ve never had a high sex drive but usually find it extremely enjoyable/stimulating. This most recent time though, I was just bored as fuck. my friend and I have a pretty great sexual chemistry/history going back years and years, but I was simply so bored.

Im really realizing how much of a barrier these substances have on enjoying normal things. I know it’s an a side effect of longterm ope use, just hasn’t been an issue personally till now.
