Family law has the worst clients, the worst attitudes, the worst opposing parties, the worst communication, the worst discovery, the worst excuses, the most pettiness, and everything else.
My firm mostly does mid to high end civil ligation with claims ranging from 200k - 9 million. However, my boss does family law as a favor to friends of friends of friends. And lately it’s as if everyone wants to get divorced. Blowing my phone/email up daily, not realizing I have other cases that have actual important deadlines. “No, I’m sorry I didn’t get a chance to read the text messages from your former mother in law about dress rehearsal.” “They have 30 days to produce discovery, I sent it two days ago, so no, nothing coming in yet is normal.” “No, you can’t just have your ex arrested.”
Do you guys actually enjoy family law, am I the outsider??
