it is amazing how useless the city's website is. You wouldn't know anything was out of the ordinary.
mod note: there are so many new users and comments, reddit's auto-mod is removing lots of stuff and I'm trying to get through the queue but between that and staying on top of this, people asking to pin stuff...just bear with me(I also slept about as much as you did, so I might be in the wrong sub for all i know).
<< updates below >>.
10:15pm- Water safety issue: PWP has put out a notice that says the water in the evacuated areas is not safe to drink. It clearly limits this to those areas. https://pwp.cityofpasadena.net/eaton-fire-2025-unsafe-water-alert/
A few users have pointed out a notice that CalTech sent students stating it is not safe to drink even outside the evac areas. https://www.caltech.edu/emergency
A few redditors have said they called PWP, left a message. PWP called back and told them they were fine. Two redditors said they were told the water south of Mountain is ok to drink. Another two commented they gave their address (1 near PCC) and were told they were fine. Sounds like CalTech is being overly cautious. Sounds like if you are unclear after reading PWPs notice you can call them.
