Toxic

I hate my store so goddamn much.

I just had a meeting with my manager and my LOD. We went over the drama and whatever and we are told that if anything is being said just tell the SM and that we don't like a toxic replace or whatever..

The store manager is not here.

At all. So they have no idea what is going on while our LODs are basically power tripping.

There's a reason why the LODs are on a constant power trip There's a reason why the co-workers know everything about everyone but the store managers don't.

There's no winning against a toxic workplace.

The problem that I have is that instead of having discussions with our co-workers like adults, people are talking behind those co-workers backs instead of just being direct and friendly about it.

"Hi I have x y and z concern about XYZ I was wondering if I have a private discussion with you about it because it affects the team yada yada" every workplace I have been to has only had friendly discussions about the issues we have.

However over here people blow up the fucking group chat like it's Coachella and the same stuff they're complaining about, they do themselves.

"Stop leaving food out in the front window" so... who the fuck is leaving there Dunkin' donuts large pumpkin spice lattes with 15 cream 27 sugar 32 Splenda then???

I swear to God these people got straight out of high school.

Everyone here is fake friends with each other. Everyone here is on a power trip with each other. Now I see why part of the reason the turnover is so high here. Nobody wants to stay here long-term and actually be friends with anybody else. It's fucking impossible to be friends with these people.

I'm already at stage two of an interview and while I am going to get less hours, the moment I have it I'm gone. I'm never coming back.
