Vetco total care rant;

So I’ve worked at VTC for almost four years and i’ve put up beautiful portraits of staff members’ dogs and cats throughout our lobby and rooms. I also made a very nice, informative display on both Heartworm and dental disease. (everything approved by both our doctor and HOM) and suddenly after PETCO had a walk through, and big wigs came in, and made us take everything down. They said every lobby needs to be uniform and look like every VTC and that none of it is “petco approved” It’s so sad to me because people really liked the portraits and i even saw people reading the dental and heartworm boards, sometimes. (i’m not going to say it actually changed any owners opinions, but maybe!) Since the removal of everything, our clients have noticed and said how bare the lobby looks and that they liked all the portraits. what’s worse, our area manager for VTC said to keep it all up, but then PETCOs management fought her on it and made the final decision. Even all our executives from VETCO commented how great each board was and that our lobby always looked so nice. When we were Thrive, no one cared what we had up. I was so heartbroken at all the work i did, i literally feel like quitting. Just wanted to rant about how dumb i think it is and how disappointed i continue to be with this company. I don’t want to leave, but i’ve lost my touch and pride for my job. They won’t even hire a receptionist so we all have to take turns teching and being receptionist. :/
