Is the Software at fault or the Photos?

Hi folks! I'm fairly new to photogrammetry, been doing some 3D scans here and there. I've only used Meshroom 2018.1.0 so far since it's free. Every version after 2018.1.0 doesn't seem to work for me, so that's the only version I can use.

I was wondering if you guys could help me out a bit. The object I'm trying to scan is tiny and it is important that I get all of the details. See image below. I took 331 photos of the object and there was a lot of them Meshroom could not reconstruct. Meshroom managed however to generate a mesh from the photos it could reconstruct, but it didn't give me the result I wished for.

The object, 4 x 2,5 cm ish (approximately 2 x 1 inches)

These are some of many photos that was not reconstructed. There seems to be a pattern here:

This is an example of one of the photos that was not reconstructed. There are a lot of photos similar to this one. Should a 3D photogrammetry software be able to reconstruct photos like this?

This was the result I got! Not bad, but not exactly what I need!

The result (mesh with textures)

A lot of details where missing on this side of the mesh! I need all of the details, all around the object. Any suggestions?

So maybe some of you here can point out what the problem is! Am I doing something wrong or is meshroom at fault here?

These are all of the camera angles that got reconstructed, all of the side photos failed.
