Liquify Preview Not Working
Hi all,
We're in full frustration mode.
Yesterday I was using the liquify filter for a project and it was working perfectly fine.
Today I went to use it for the same purpose (after making NO changes to Photoshop or my system) and it's not giving me the preview, but is working in the document.
Things I've done so far:
- Made sure "preview" was checked (it is)
- Tried it with and without GPU acceleration (same result)
- Made sure nothing is hogging my RAM and my Photoshop allocation is set high enough (I have 32GB, only 10GB is used when running Liquify, & Photoshop is allowed to use 18GB)
- Purged all of the Photoshop caches I could
- Reset my Photoshop preferences (ctrl+alt+shift on startup)
- Updated my GPU driver
- Made sure Photoshop was updated.
The only thing I haven't done (BECAUSE I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO) is uninstall and reinstall Photoshop.
Has anyone had this issue and figured out how to fix it without uninstalling and reinstalling?
(I've searched the sub and haven't found anything recent regarding this. I apologize if I missed it.)
This isn't the first time something like this has happened to me and it's entirely asinine that the industry standard program for photo editing doesn't work consistently from day-to-day...
EDIT: I was able to fix the problem (for now) by following these instructions. They were buried in the Adobe Forum (which I, of course, checked before... but hadn't found them...)
Leaving this up in case anyone has the same issues.
