I'll never get a "real" piano, what should I do ?
Hello,
As you've seen in the title I am stuck with a keyboard (or electric piano). I want a real piano but due to money, space and noise that can disrupt neighbours in my apartement complex I can' t have
I mostly focus on upright pianos because grand piano are just not worth it for me. So when I say real piano I'm talking about upright pianos.
I don't complain much with my keyboard because I have the luck to have a keyboard with precise piano touch, 88 keys, all 3 pedals and I can plug a headphone so I can play without disturbing anyone.
However in my piano classes, I am the only student who doesn't have a real piano at home, all the other have an upright piano.
I feel like my competence in piano are just wasted or disminished when I'm playing my keyboard piano and it's just not worth it because a keyboard doesn't feels like a real piano.
Also I'm recording my piano pieces and repertoire on YTB but compare to real piano like the one of Rousseau, Kassia, Traum and paul barton it's mostly bad because it doesn't feel the same as real pianos.
I've hear there is a type of piano called hybrid piano (~4000$) that solves most of my problems but I don't know if it's worth the price because with 4000$ could just buy an upright Yamaha piano. Are hybrid piano as similar as an upright piano?
Although you saw me complaining, I'm a bit happy with my small piano repertoire and my dear keyboard.
Ty for reading my post.
