Pittsburgh Childhood Memory Help!

When I was a child in the late 80s/early 90s we lived on the Northside and I went to preschool on Federal Street and we would always do things in Allegheny Commons Park. I clearly remember huge birds (which I think were vultures?) living in like regular cages or even cages that looked like jail cells? outside of the Aviary, like a CLEAR memory but I can’t find anything on it!
