Pixel Buds 2 pause after skipping in pocketcasts...

Anyone else experience this? Recently my pixel buds pro 2 have started to pause after skipping. If I double tap, it skips ahead 10 seconds and plays a second of audio, and then pauses. It does not do this with YouTube Music.

I have factory reset the buds and rebooted my phone, same thing happens. It did not do this a few weeks ago. I'm baffled...
