PS5 Connected to WiFi but won't Connect to Online Servers
Hello everyone. I got my PS5 from Best Buy about 5 days ago and on the second day of owning the console, I put it into rest mode and got the seemingly common green screen bug. Since then I disabled HDMI Link (a fix that I saw online) and it seems to have solved the issue although I generally just avoid putting my PS5 into rest mode now. However, I have ran into yet another bug. Yesterday I tried to play Fortnite with a buddy and it kept telling me I could not join the server. I then tried several other online games and got the same issue. I can still access YouTube and other streaming services completely fine and my Network Settings say I have a great internet connection and am signed into the PSN. Has anyone else encountered this issue? If so, has anyone found a solution? I've seen on other threads that factory resetting the console fixes the issues for some and not others. However, I'm starting to think the console I got may be defective (because of the green screen bug as well which only seems to happen to certain users) and that other issues will only continue to come back. Perhaps I should send in my PS5 for repair (I got it less than a week ago so it should still be under warranty right?). Please let me know your thoughts! I haven't owned a console in years and the PS5 has been super cool besides the somewhat frequent bug I've been getting. Thanks!
