I passed the PMP exam!
I never thought I’d write these words, but I finally passed the PMP exam! A few months ago, I had my first attempt at home. Unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned—I was kicked out of the system after my first break because there was a delay in starting my break, and the proctor mistakenly thought I had left my desk. It was incredibly frustrating and took me some time to process. Then life happened—I started my maternity leave, which further delayed my preparation.
Looking back, I realize I underestimated the prep time. I ended up investing six weeks, 4-6 hours daily into my preparation and used the following resources:
- DM 200 Agile questions, 150 Waterfall questions, Drag-and-Drop questions, Key Concepts, and Agile videos (his materials are excellent!).
- AR Drag-and-Drop questions, Ultra-Hard questions, and the Mindset video.
- I took various mock exams to simulate the real exam environment. This was crucial in building my confidence and improving my time management.
- ChatGPT PMI Infinity, a surprisingly helpful tool to clarify concepts and practice.
This group has been an incredible resource throughout my journey. Reading success stories and seeing how others navigated their preparation was both inspiring and motivating. It reminded me that we’re all in the same boat and that there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to achieving this goal.
To everyone preparing—stay consistent, make use of the resources available, and trust the process. If I can do it, so can you! I wish you the best of luck.
