Anyone else feel like the championship assessment interview in Violet/Scarlet was oddly sinister?

I felt like this was going to be a reveal that the Pokemon League are the baddies now they had you were they wanted you, especially the insignias on the uniforms. Just seemed very clinical, lacking in personality, and quite sinister to me to be basically interrogated about my motives one-on-one with "right" answers, and revisiting an earlier question.

A conspiracy of that level would have certainly been interesting, especially as La Primera looks like a villain too.

I realized that La Primera's Glimmora must have come from Area Zero, so having an element of conspiracy with the League wanting what was in Area Zero would have certainly been more interesting than what we ultimately got.
