My poodle doesn’t really like her daughter

I have two poodles, mother and daughter. The daughter poodle, Charlie, ADORES her mother, Austen. She follows Austen everywhere, and does what she does. Austen does not give a crap about Charlie. She acts like Charlie doesn’t exist and just completely ignores her. She has never been aggressive, she’s incredibly loving and sweet towards humans, but just does not seem to have any opinion, positive or negative, of Charlie. It’s like she’s invisible.

I think it may have to do with Austen’s mother dying young, and very suddenly. We had them together too and they were very very close. I think maybe Austen thinks that Charlie is temporary, like her mother? Or maybe she is still traumatized by the sudden loss of her best friend. I’m not sure.

Basically what I’m asking is, is there a way to help them become friends? Charlie is almost 3 and I would love to see Austen at least acknowledge her existence, lmaoo.
