Was it planned?

Maybe it’s because I’m 35+ years old but has anyone been asked if they planned their pregnancy when announcing they’re expecting? I was asked this far more frequently than I anticipated. Also planned or unplanned does that make the pregnancy any less special? Personally I think it’s a very rude and awkward question to ask anyone.
