Can you feel your legs with epidural?

I’m such an anxious person and get in my head a lot with things like, small spaces, lack of physical control over my situations, etc. I also get in my head when it comes to my body, for instance when I get numbing at the dentist and I know I’m breathing through my nose, but it doesn’t FEEL like I am, so I panic. I’m afraid it’ll be the same thing with epidural and my legs. I understand you don’t feel any pain, but can you feel the sensation of your legs? Can you wiggle your toes and brush against your legs and you can feel everything, except the pain? Or is it completely number from waist down? I feel like this will be the deciding factor if I get epidural or not. I was planning on it, but afraid my anxiety will make my birthing experience not the greatest.
