Giant Baby Shower

For context my husband and I are first time parents. I'm the first grandchild on both sides to be having a baby. We are incredibly fortunate to have a huuuuge village. We invited only closest friends and family to our wedding and that was still 160. We went through that guest list and came up to 120 people we'd want at our coed baby shower. I want it at 80 but it feels impossible to just drop some people. My husband thinks it's fine for it to be so large. He also thinks we should be providing alcohol on top of that... I don't care if we were to do separate parties like a traditional shower and then give him a diaper party. But he would rather do one day together. Which is fine. And I'm fine with everything except providing alcohol. Those of you who had giant baby showers, what did you provide and what was your cap on guests?
