It kinda bugs me how digital vehicles are when all I want is something that gets me from point A to B.

In general…what year did vehicles start getting packed to the brim with electronics and computer chips?

What are some recommendations if I want a 4x4 that’s gonna be reliable long term with minimal need for professional help? Bonus points if they are cool but not necessarily what I’m concerned about. Thanks!
