Useful Activities to Try While Reducing Your Screen Time
Hello,
I'm a remote worker, and I work as a graphic designer from 9 am to 6 pm. However, during the workweek (Monday to Friday), I have a lot of free time. During these times, I mostly use my phone. My daily screen usage (off the work) is about 5-6 hours, which is too much, and even though I know the damage it causes, I can't stop. I read a book called Stolen Focus, and it really impressed me, but I’m still the same person—a screen user.
Here's what I currently do instead of spending my free time on my phone:
- I go to the gym 4 days a week.
- I try to read at least 20 pages of a book.
- I usually watch a film 2 days a week.
- I don't have a girlfriend, and it's safe to say that I don't spend much time with anyone either 😥. Sometimes I go out with my friends.
But I still have about generally 5 hours of free time left everyday... I am trying to improve my English. What else should I do? I haven’t found anything else. Any suggestions for people like me?
