SCPH 30004 R (Pal) laser swap?

Hi, I recently tried to play some PS2 discs on my SCPH 30004 R to figure out it doesn’t manage to read discs anymore :(

I tried cleaning both lens without any improvement so I was thinking to buy a laser replacement on Ali Express.

I think the lens is KHS 400 R (see picture in comments). Is that correct ? Anyone here had the same experience ? Did swapping the laser worked for you ?

(I’ve already installed a SSD via an adapter and I am also already using OPL via FMCB but as this is my first and only PS2 I would really like to be able to read my original games on it)
