How do I figure out a research topic?

Please give me suggestions on how to figure out a research topic. I have to write a research proposal in 9 weeks for my Research Methods in Psychology class and the topic is due Friday. But my teacher hasn’t given any assistance on what to do if you can’t think of a topic. All she asks is that it’s a topic related to anything in Psychology.

It’s just too broad for me so my brain is freaking out and I can’t think of anything I’m interested in to write about. If anyone has any tips for brainstorming or anything like that, it would be greatly appreciated!
