Thinking of Bringing Home a 7-Month-Old Mini Poodle—Need Tips for a Smooth Transition and Training!

Hi all!! I’m considering bringing home a miniature poodle who’s been with her breeder since birth (April 23, 2024). She’s the last of her litter and is described as very smart but a bit timid. She’s not fully potty-trained yet, but she does well with pee pads and has been kept in playpens. The breeder says she’s well-socialized with both dogs and people.I’m really excited about the idea of bringing her home, but since this is my first time getting a dog older than 12 weeks, I’d love some advice! Specifically, I’m looking for tips to help her transition smoothly, especially with potty training and basic training. This isn’t my first dog, but it’s a new experience in terms of her age and current habits, so I want to make sure I’m well-prepared. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
