Moving to Qatar in April

Hi all,

I'm moving to Qatar at the beginning of April and luckily my employer has given me free accommodation for a month or so.

As I'm English and coming from the UK where's the best place for me to look for an apartment/compound?

Ideally somewhere with other English expats that would make it easier to find people to make mates with.

Also if anyone has any good suggestions for places to experience first when I get there and any common pitfalls that I might run into in my first weeks/Month.
