Why does Genma stop turning into a panda as much in the later seasons?

I’ve just finished season 3 of the OG anime and something that stuck out to me is that Saotome Genma seems to transform to a panda much less often compared to the beginning of the show. I remember when I first started watching I actually had a hard time remembering what his human form looked like because he was a panda so often. Now I feel kinda lucky if I even see the panda in an episode. Why do you think he stopped transforming as often?
