Raw/wet/dry ?
Hi everyone! My fiance and I are adopting 2 kittens (both 4 months) this upcoming Tuesday. We’ve been doing nonstop research on what to feed them. From other subreddits or forums, I’ve seen most people vouch for 50/50 raw and wet food or 33/33/33 raw, wet, and dry food. I’m pretty sure the shelter they’re at has them eating dry food only which I know is going to be a transition process from whatever we decide to feed them afterwards.
I lived with my family who had 2 adult cats who had dry kibble available to them all day (shocker- they’re obese) and were fed fancy feast in gravy once in the morning and once at night (I personally wasn’t a fan of this but I wasn’t the one buying their food, any suggestions I made were ignored.)
So now that I’ll be having cats of my own, I need a lot of help on what to feed them.
•how do you recommend feeding them from the 2 options I listed above? (50/50 raw and wet or 33/33/33 raw, wet, dry, or something else?)
•If you feed your cats raw food, are you buying them premade from a brand or are you making it yourself?
•what specifically are you feeding them?
Any advice you give is greatly appreciated!
