What's different between RM vs City last season vs now?

Besides the obvious, with players leaving and joining since last season, I think this RM and City are different since last time they matched. For example, while M. City remains the best team in Europe (IMO), they don't play the same way with high pressure to recover the ball, and high intense possession to push their rival in the 1/4 of their pitch. City also was far superior in the midfield, specially against less physical teams like RM with Kroos and Modric, in the midfield. Real Madrid, on the other hand, had a more powerful attack with Benzema, but now we have a much more physical midfield. City also plays more forward than possession (compared to last season) and Real Madrid plays a little more possession than straight forward (compared to last season). This is going to be an interesting change for both.

Personally, I think City was better last season against RM, and RM was worse than City than it is today. This in the context, of new starting 11's and in consideration of new adaptions. I still City is favorite but I think this is going to be a much tighter match, to be determined, by smaller factors, and closing opportunities. Great match overall.

What do you guys think has changed since last seasons?
