Why face down? And other rants
Does this keep happening with other cashiers? Whenever someone gives me their ID, bank card, cash, players card (casino), what have you, 80% of the time they put it face down. Why? I gotta flip it back up to be able to see it, that's the side with the info. And that's if they don't throw it at you, too.
Then half the time when all you did was hold their back card to verify with the ID and hand it back to them, back into the wallet it goes. No, dumbass, you gotta put it in the reader. You watched me do nothing with it.
And how the hell are there so many people acting like they've never used a pin pad before? "what do I do " you put the chip in. The chip. No, turn it back around, the other way. The chip. Don't try to slide it. (put my hand over the slide) put the chip in, on the bottom. Stop trying to slide it (literally trying to swipe the card THROUGH my hand still in place). CHIP, IN! " this is not an exaggeration, had this from single transactions at least twice. And gotta love people who put the chip in and immediately take it back out, without waiting for it to even read or continue the transaction.
