Caretaker Stats didn’t Happen

So I had a my breeding done and hired the max caretaker for +12 bonus stats guaranteed. I wait for over a day to mature and when it’s all said and done I only ended up with +2 stats and it’s position preference changed from front to middle. Has this ever happened to anyone? Also this occurred 2.5 hours after the app was down for maintenance. Thanks.
