What is it like being an SDR/BDR manager?

The possibility of becoming an SDR/BDR manager in the next 6 months was discussed with me. Anyone have experience doing that job? What is it like?

Nothing is final, and it was definitely a "just throwing it out there" as I was discussing my next career steps with our VP of sales, but still curious what it is like.
