Welcome to r/sapucai!
Welcome to r/sapucai, a personal project to spread the Samba School Carnival to the world!
Who are you?
I'm a Brazilian guy. I'm 20 years (or possibly more, if it has been already some time since this post and I haven't bothered to edit it) old and I'm an Asperger, which leads me to have extreme laser-focus on my field of interest. Said field happens to be the Brazilian Samba School Parades, a pretty niche field, and since I have some writing skills, I made this sub as an attempt to present the best of the so-called "biggest spectacle on Earth" to the world.
What is exactly r/sapucai?
As I said above, it's just a personal project for fun. My goal here is to make the samba school parades more acessible to people outside Brazil, as well as fill them on the historical importance of the Carnival, on the work made by the samba schools on the slums and on why this worldly-famous party is current at risk.
While I can't guarantee perfect English or regularity, I'll do my best to keep this subreddit filled with information.
Enjoy your stay!
