Problems with Allied Universal hiring

Has anybody else had recent issues with being hired by Allied? I've had nothing but issue after issue.

I was "hired" by Allied in the past two weeks, contingent on the normal hiring requirements, including a physical, drug testing, etc.

This process started with an interview with an automated texting bot named Sam. The interview concluded and I was directed to a link that didn't exist, so I was then directed to contact my local office branch for an interview. I then set up a phone interview, using the Allied office automated line, for the next Monday. The phone interview came and went and nobody ever contacted me, so I rescheduled it for the next day and the same thing happened. The next day I contacted, via email, the person who was supposed to have interviewed me.

This person contacted me the next day and told me that she was the only person in the office and would contact me at a later date. She contacted me on a Friday and scheduled the interview for Monday, so a week after my initial interview.

The interview went very well and the supervisor told me that she wished she could have interviewed me earlier because all of the full time positions had been filled, but that she would have supervisor positions needing to be filled in the future. She was very impressed with my background, as I worked in a high security for ten years as a sergeant and have two associate degrees, one in criminal justice. The supervisor was amazing, but seemed completely overwhelmed.

The next day I received a contingent part-time offer and was assigned a clinic to schedule my physical at, which was due in one week. When I went to schedule an appointment, the next available appointment was exactly one week away, on the due date, which was a date that I already had to work on for my other job. I then scheduled it with another clinic, that was available through the scheduling app and arrived there on time, only to be told that I couldn't just walk in to that clinic and that I needed to call back in the morning.

So, I called in the next morning, which left me unable to work, as I substitute teach, and the receptionist told me that they were unable to complete the physical because they weren't contracted with Allied and that I should call around and see who will accept it.

I then called a local urgent care clinic and they did my physical as a walk through. I then instructed them to fax the paperwork to the phone number on the paperwork, which my site supervisor instructed me to do, which they confirmed that they did. The next day, the site supervisor called me and me where I had received my physical because ANOTHER new hire was having a similar issue and needed advice. The supervisor seemed to be very confused and frustrated with the entire situation.

Fast forward 10 days later, and I hadn't heard back from anybody about the position, so I checked my Allied application account. My application now reads "not accepted" and when I read my background check results, I failed due to "having never taken the physical," which was STILL listed as having been scheduled at the original location, a location that is only open a few hours a day and was booked out a week in advance. I then emailed the person who originally sent me the contingent offer and I haven't heard back. It's been about 24 hours, but still.

One thing that I noticed about Allied Universal is that EVERYTHING is contracted out and/or automated, including the hiring system, the phone interview system, through HireVue, the regional offices, which go straight to voicemail when trying to contact a person, and even the system used to schedule the physical and drug testing. EVERYTHING is automated and NOBODY seems to have a clue what is actually going on!

I also forgot to add that I had initially applied with Allied in May, but didn't make it past the first part with "Sam" because after I passed the virtual interview, Sam was supposed to automatically schedule me for a phone interview. Sam then told me to "contact my local regional office," but also told me that they would "check on the issue" for me. I never received an answer back from Sam and actually forgot about the situation until I had reapplied.
