Can confusion cause them?

Hi weird question can confustion cause seizures? The last one I had I was extremely confused about 20 minutes before it happened. And now every time since whenever I get extremely confused I feel the same way I did right before mine happened. I know confustion is a side effect but it feels more like it causes it. Is this weird?
