Big and Natasha and compassion for Carrie

Dear God I don’t know how any viewer could not have compassion for Carrie after what happened here.

She finds out the Paris deal fell through and he didn’t tell her, she finds out he started dating a 26 year old who has “heard so much about her” and whose family has a house in the Hamptons. And then she finds out shortly after this that he is engaged to that 26 year old after like 6 months. Something he was never sure about with Carrie after dating for 2 years.

This is the harshest blow that could be dealt from a man who told you he loved you just a few short months ago. A blow I think any person would have an incredibly hard time bouncing back from, and I think Carrie really tried her best here.

I’m really really against cheating but I really understand why Carrie went there with Big after he chose Natasha over her. The cheating was some weird way of Big choosing her instead and it maybe in some messed up way helped her heal the wound that that rejection dealt her. That doesn’t make it right at all, I’m just saying I get it. Also she probably wasn’t quite ready to move on to Aiden because she hadn’t dealt with that wound properly yet. It’s too bad the therapist she visited after the breakup was such a terrible one, because Carrie really needed that.

Anyway I see so much Carrie hate on here and I just wanted to say I really feel compassion for her here.
