What's the deal with the ENP-7660b model number?
like the title says, how come so many different brands all use the same model number but they aren't all made by Enhance? Do they all come from the same factory and the seller creates their own modular PCB? If you google ENP-7660b there is more listings of non-Enhance branded PSUs than the actual Enhance branded ones.
I am asking because I recently purchased a PSU off of Amazon that I thought was from Enhance because it used that ENP-7660b model number, but it was actually some random brand called Rooyar. I messaged the seller and I would have to pay shipping to send it back, but he's willing to refund me 50% to keep it. Given how much it would cost to ship it back to China I think it'd be cheaper for me to keep it.
I would use it if it was a legit power supply but I don't want to build a fire hazard of a PC.
I ended up buying a real Enhance 7660b from Geeek and the quality is great and it's working just fine in my new build. (see pic)
