I made a Lightweight Shavian Keymapper Using AutoHotKey [3.15MB]
I'm trying to learn Shavian right now but the keyboard software on shavian.info and Keyman came up missing, so I just decided to write my own script in AutoHotKey, which will be much lighter and faster anyway.
The download for AutoHotKey is 3.14MB, and my actual script is only 3.47KB.
It is identical to the Shaw Imperial by Default
Features:
- You can switch between your typical keys and Shavian keys by simply pressing Alt + Shift + Z at any time. It will make a small beep to signal the change has been made.
- You can program the script to run upon startup if you make a shortcut and copy it to your startup folder [see here]. This way you can always be able to instantly switch between the two keymaps in an instant.
- You can re-map the keys (including the toggle switch) to your liking or add more by simply following the syntax of my script. Visiting the AutoHotKey resource website would help to do this, but it's not that complex of a script - you just have to understand the name of the key you are mapping and the text you'd like it to send. The rest is already written.
