Shingles in the eye

I noticed a rash on the side of my face on Sunday evening. Went to the doctor on Monday morning and was diagnosed with shingles. I’ve been on valtrex antiviral since then. I’m also 25 weeks pregnant. Since Monday I’ve developed 4 more spots, the first one being the only one to blister (so far). I’ve had some irritation and discomfort on my left eye, but no visible sores on or around it. I went to the optometrist today and she said she noticed what looks like a small lesion starting to form on the front of my eye. I’m so upset because all I’ve heard are negative outcomes when it comes to shingles on the eye. To be honest, maybe I’m being a suck, but I can’t stop crying about it. From what I’ve read it sounds like it’s only going to get worse from here. I need some sort of positivity or to hear a story with a positive outcome. The rest of my pain has been manageable but my eye is causing me the most discomfort by far. Because I’m pregnant, there’s not much I can do other than continue to take my antiviral 3x daily. My doctors note only has me off of work until Friday. If you’ve read this far…. Thank you. :(
