What is up with all the drugs?

Seems like every guy I worked with is on something, and then claims to be hercules but then proceeds to whine and bitch the entire day about whatever the fuck. Then rips the wax pen right after talking to a customer or right before we go up the 32’ to hang something. Anyone else work with guys like this? All resi non union.

Seems like these guys need help, I can understand needing to recover from the job but these guys are ridiculous. If I never became a GC I probably would have gotten out of the trades because these guys are probably the most beta losers I’ve ever met. I do mostly kitchen and bathroom remodeling by myself now. Mostly custom bathrooms tho, more demand in my area since I actually like to lay tile.
