Let's argue: Is Pantera sludge after Vulgar Display of power?

Let me explain, Pantera has a very sludgy, bluesy sound since far beyond driven, the hardcore vocals are also there! And when down counts as sludge then Pantera might also be sludge? Basically the entirety of "The great southern trendkill" has a really sludgy sound, tempochanges from very slow to really fast and even the lyrics and vocals are full of hatred and depression.

I ain't saying that everything by them is sludge, imo "Cowboys from hell" and "Vulgar Display of power" aren't sludge (except for one song). But a big part of everything that comes after that goes in the sludge direction.
